At Norden Leacox Accident & Injury Law, we created the Conquering Childhood Cancer Scholarship to highlight the courageous stories of students who have faced cancer in our community. We received tons of applications and are grateful for each story that students shared and the lessons they learned throughout their journey.
Hi! My name is Marola Anes and I recently graduated from Hempfield High School earlier this year! I currently live in Lancaster, PA but I was born in Assiut, Egypt. In 2013, I was diagnosed with brain cancer that led to further implications. I was treated by a wonderful team of doctors and nurses at the Penn State Children’s Hospital. Inspired by these events, I have decided to study biology at Penn State University in hopes of pursuing a career in neuroscience!
I was thrilled to learn that I had been nominated for this scholarship! As a recipient of the Norden Leacox Scholarship, I am greatly honored by their inspiring mission and eagerness to help others in any way they can. The award is truly a pleasure to receive and my sincere appreciation goes out to Norden Leacox Accident & Injury Law!
