James Davis

ATTORNEY

James Davis is an experienced trial attorney who focuses his practice on personal injury litigation at Norden Leacox. He is passionate about helping individuals who have been wronged through no fault of their own and is dedicated to securing justice for those facing serious injuries and life-changing circumstances.

Before joining Norden Leacox, James served as a prosecutor for Florida’s Ninth Judicial Circuit, where he specialized in Domestic Violence and tried numerous cases ranging from misdemeanor offenses to first-degree felonies. His extensive courtroom background sharpened the litigation and trial skills he now brings to personal injury matters.

In civil litigation, James has represented plaintiffs at one of the nation’s largest personal injury law firms and defendants at one of the country’s largest civil defense firms. This rare dual-perspective experience gives him unique insight into the strategies insurance companies and defense counsel use to fight injury claims—experience he now leverages to aggressively advocate for his clients.

A recognized emerging leader in the Orlando legal community, James has been an active member of the Orange County Bar Association since 2018. He became a Committee Chair in 2021, was elected as an At-Large Board Member for the Young Lawyers Section in 2024, and was nominated as Treasurer of the Young Lawyers Section Board in 2025. In February 2026, he was re-elected to serve another two-year term and now serves as the President-Elect of the Young Lawyers Section, reflecting the confidence and respect he has earned from his peers throughout Central Florida. He has also been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star, an honor awarded to outstanding up-and-coming attorneys.

James is equally passionate about mentorship and legal education. He has spoken to classes at Barry University School of Law on multiple occasions, sharing his experience transitioning from law school into practice and speaking on topics including trial advocacy and evidence. He also mentors law students preparing to join The Florida Bar.

Outside the courtroom, James has served as a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Florida since 2018, providing mentorship, stability, and guidance to youth navigating difficult circumstances. His commitment to service reflects the same values that define his legal practice: advocacy, leadership, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.

Beyond law and community involvement, James enjoys music, comedy, cheering on the Florida Gators, and following Detroit professional sports teams.
