A highly accomplished trial lawyer, Mr. Vaughn has tried over 80 civil cases across Florida and throughout the United States, achieving numerous significant verdicts and settlements. His experience on both sides of the courtroom—including representing clients at one of the nation’s largest personal injury firms and one of the largest insurance carriers in the country—gives him a powerful strategic advantage in complex litigation.

Before transitioning into private practice, Mr. Vaughn served with distinction in the United States Coast Guard, retiring as a Captain after more than 20 years of service in both operational and legal roles. As a qualified Judge Advocate (JAG), he prosecuted courts-martial and advised senior military leaders on complex legal and operational matters, including federal criminal prosecution and counter-narcotics enforcement. His assignments included roles with U.S. Northern Command, U.S. Southern Command, the Department of Justice, United States Attorney’s Offices, Coast Guard Base Miami Beach, and multiple Coast Guard cutters, stations, and sectors. He also served as a Trial Attorney in the Admiralty and Maritime Section of the U.S. Department of Justice.
Prior to his legal career, Mr. Vaughn worked in television and film production in Los Angeles, further broadening his professional perspective and creative approach to advocacy.
Outside the courtroom, Mr. Vaughn exemplifies the same discipline, preparation, and resilience that define his legal practice. He is a three-time Ironman triathlete and has qualified for and completed the Boston Marathon. A former competitive surfer, he remains a lifelong surfer and snowboarder, embracing an active lifestyle rooted in endurance and competition.
